During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have resulted in blackouts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.
Nine people were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and faced disruption to drinking water, as stated by local authorities.
Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the southeastern region in the southern area, according to regional authorities.
Russian forces has intensified attacks on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has called for "concrete actions" from international partners to exert influence on Russia.
"What is required is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, Europe and the major economies - in providing protection systems and implementing restrictions," he wrote in a online statement.
He said that numerous aerial vehicles and several dozen projectiles targeted the country's power systems, labeling such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.
Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and technical staff were striving to restore power.
A series of attacks damaged energy infrastructure and civilian homes in the capital.
Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been transported for medical care, per statements from municipal representatives.
Local officials said the metropolitan region experienced heavy assaults overnight. A young boy lost their life and three other people were hurt.
The attacks follow evenings of bombing campaigns in the area, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.
All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.
Authorities told reporters that Russia was intentionally trying to destroy the country's energy grid, with assaults already affecting fuel infrastructure.
Officials stated technical personnel and authorities were preparing for more assaults.
