Vinicius Jr Offers Sincere Sorry to Real Madrid Devotees

The forward has registered five finishes in ten La Liga outings this season.

Real Madrid forward Vinicius Jr has apologised to the fanbase for his conduct when substituted in Sunday's intense match against Barcelona triumph.

The Brazilian was taken off in the 72nd minute and expressed his frustration by heading directly off the pitch.

Vinicius eventually reappeared to the sidelines and, following his team's 2-1 win, tried to confront Barça's opposing player during contentious post-match scenes.

"This day I want to express regret to all the Madridistas for my behavior when I was taken off in the Clasico," the player wrote on social media.

"In the same way as I have already done during today's session, I would like to express regret anew to my teammates, the organization, and the club president.

"At times fervor gets the better of me because I continuously aim to triumph and support my side. My winning mentality stems from the love I hold for this institution and each thing it symbolizes."

Vinicius joined Real from his former club in the year 2018 for a significant fee and has notched over a century of strikes in more than 300 games.

But his prospects in the Spanish capital is uncertain with speculation in recent months indicating that Los Blancos would consider letting the 25-year-old move on if they obtained a good proposal.

When the winger was substituted on the match day, broadcast footage from broadcaster the platform captured him stating: "Always me! I'm departing the side! It's preferable if I leave, I'm moving on."

In his most recent statement on the platform, he stated: "I vow to keep battling every second for the good of the club, as I have acted since the initial arrival."
